Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J., told Newsmax on Thursday that as the 2024 election draws near, the Democrats will “open the gates of hell” against former President Donald Trump because they’re desperate, thinking they’ll lose their chance to radically transform America if he wins the presidency.

“The real deal here for these folks is that they want to change America as we know it,” Van Drew said during an appearance on Newsmax’s “The Chris Salcedo Show.” “They want to change America forever.

“I’m gonna warn people that are watching and listening to you right now: They’ve only started. As we get closer and closer to the election, they are going to open the gates of hell against Donald Trump because they are desperate. They don’t want to lose. They don’t want to bring this country back home; and they know if Donald Trump wins, that’s exactly what’s going to happen. So this is going to be some tough sledding.
